Comenius Athens day 4

Today we visited the acropolis and Parthenon. What a view. It was amazing. Afterwards we went to the new acropolis museum which was cool. The floor was made of glass and you could seer the excavation of the ancient tombs that were found here while they were building the museum.

We then had lunch here and we really enjoyed the view and the food! Spaghetti! We then had to say goodby to our new friends which has been very sad. We will miss them all. We have really had a great time! We love Comenius!!!

Comenius Athens day 3

Today was another great day! We went on a coach to Epidaurus and Nafpilion. It took about two hours to get there. We went to visit an ancient amphitheater. We ran to the top and you can hear people speaking from the bottom. It can hold 15,000 people! This is where each country spoke a few words from a famous person in their languages some even sang.
We also stopped to see the corinth canal.

We then went to a really nice port town where there were palm trees and pretty streets with souvenir shops. We had lunch here. It was nice and warm today - about 18 degrees Celsius .... That's it for now :-)

Comenius Athens day 2

Today we wnt by metro to the archeological museum and had a tour. We were told stories about the gold plates found in ancient tombs over 3000 years ago!

Then we went to the city center and were given a tour. We had some free tome to Visit the souvenir shops.

We then went for lunch and tried traditional souvalaki.. Mmmm yummy.

We went back to our host families to rehearse for our presentation at school tonight! It's been a great day!!

Day 1 Comenius - Athens city visit to the high school

Today we met at school and watched performances from the students at our partner school. They showed presentations about the history of Greece and many traditional dances. It was nice and then we went to a classroom to watch a presentation on the history of the Olympics! After a really nice lunch cooked by the parents we went off with our hosts for the afternoon- to the mall cool! Tomorrow we have do our presentation- wish us luck!!!

Comenius Greece Day 1-Greek school dance and presentations

We arrived to a beautiful day and were greeted at the metro station by host families and Alex and Kitty headed off to their homes and a n afternoon in the sunshine! They will be posting tomorrow... In the meantime, the Parthenon...

Athens here we come!
